Step One, Oakmount Dental

Upon Arrival

Step Two, Oakmount Dental

Comprehensive Exam

Your first appointment will take about 90 minutes. You and your dentist will start by discussing your medical history and oral health needs. Your dentist will then complete a thorough examination of your gums, teeth, bite and jaws. This exam will include a series of dental x-rays and photos, and an oral cancer screening.

Step Three, Oakmount Dental

Treatment Plan

Based on your medical history and exam, your dentist will develop a comprehensive dental treatment plan for you, with hygiene and ongoing preventive care as the primary focus. Throughout your appointment, please feel free to ask your dentist or hygienist any questions you may have about your dental health and treatment options.

Oakmount Dental FAQs

Read these frequently asked questions to learn what to expect at our dental clinic.

  • What kind of approach does your dental team take to patient care?

When a patient needs a dental treatment at our clinic, we will always proceed with the least invasive treatment option possible based on the problem at hand.

Our dentists and support team take a preventive approach to care, focusing on hygiene and ongoing maintenance first and foremost.

We believe that patients who are knowledgeable and well informed about their dental health are better equipped to maintain good oral health in the long run, so patient education plays an important role in our approach as well.

  • How can I book an appointment?

If you would like to book a dental appointment, please contact our office during our regular business hours. If you prefer, you can also book your next appointment while you're here at the office.

If you are having a dental emergency, please call us immediately, and we'll do our best to make room in our schedule to see you.

  • How do I cancel or reschedule an appointment?

If you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment, please call us or talk to us in person, rather than emailing. The sooner you let us know about the change of plans, the better. Knowing well in advance will allow us to open up the space in our schedule for another patient.

  • Do you offer appointment reminders?

In the days before your appointment, you will receive automated appointment reminders from us by either phone or email. If you must cancel or reschedule an appointment, please call us as soon as possible to let us know.

At Oakmount Dental, we accept most insurance plans. On your first appointment, please bring your insurance information with you, and we will be happy to submit your claim to your insurance company directly.
